Nathan began at Empirical as a test engineer and over a few years developed expertise in medical device testing including regulatory test requirements as well as ASTM methodologies. Within the testing team, he became the external fixation expert, though the scope of his testing skills spanned many orthopedic applications. He transitioned to a regulatory role more recently. This includes the duties of writing 510(k)s and pre-submissions, developing custom test methods for unique medical devices, and research.

What I love about my job field: Applying engineering principles to the most incredible machine ever created (the human body).
What I enjoy most about my job at Empirical: Having the opportunity to learn new things every day in a field that I enjoy while making meaningful contributions to clients and to the Empirical team.
What sets Empirical apart from our competitors: Empirical has two qualities that sets it apart. Both the depth of industry experience and the external relationships built draw clients in and keep clients for the long term.
